Does anyone know what these are really called and where i could get some in Southampton as someone kindly has pinched mine from both sides!!!! Are these rare? Or are they going to be expensive? What a world we live in!

they shouldnt be rare, i think they are called rubber door protectors or rubber door moulds, a visit to your local dealer should be able to verify what you want
Re: Side door rubber protectors.... the long rubber things running along side the car.
they are called 'rubbing strips' and they are a reet b*tch to remove so some arse has gone to extra trouble to nick them. they cant be re-used once removed cos of the sticky strips used to glue them to the car. has it left 2 strips of crap on the doors? if so you'll need to clean the old stuff off which will test your patience. use some sort of thinners to soften it like nail varnish remover or meths (shouldnt damage paint). your car might look better without them, they dont really need them except when careless f***wits slam open their doors in car parks.
