Technical Red Injector warning light comes on.

I have decided that my best course of action is to purchase the necessary diagnostic kit to sort the problem out for myself rather than be at the mercy of a local garage. Can anyone advise me what I need to purchase in order to do my own diagnosing? I own a powerful laptop if this helps.

Many thanks I am going to give it a try. The first problem I have hit is the only place the 3pin/16 pin adaptor cables offered on E Bay are available is from China.

I have got the two cables and am now able to connect to my laptop. The cable with the 16 pin connector and USB connector has come with a CD. I have found two 3 pin diagnostic connectors in the car, one under the stering column next to an electronic box which connects to a plastic ring which fits around the ignition switch and another which connects to the ECU. Can anbody tell me what I have to do now to sort out my key code problem?

Wow another interesting problem that seems to have ended without telling us what happened next does anyone Know? This poor fellow seems to have had a terrible time and I hope he got it sorted

7 years later one hopes he is not still sat in the car scratching his head lol... its pretty common for threads to just stop mid-flow on forums - you have to realise that alot of people only ever joined cause they had a problem and once sorted they don't care anymore, they were never a big part of the community. The OP here has made 36 posts made in under a year including all those in this thread, start 2 threads ever. The more active users will tend to update their threads with closure. Kinda annoying but you tend to get a good idea from replies what you should look at anyway.
