Just bought x2 White LED flexi strips so i can attach onto front headlights and use as day running lights, similar to that on an Audi R8.

DRL's seem to be a marmite subject with some people loving and some people hating.

I've put a strip straight under both front headlights and they look rather good, i might have a bit more of a play around to see if they would look any better like the grill, or even add a curve effect around the lights.

Just wanted to see what people think or if anyone else has done same/ similar?

Cheers

look naff. even on a audi imo.....

if you like them tho fella put them on because its you who drives it and you who people will see. personally i tint mine and blend in more :p

always going to look naff. there naff lights. do help you to be seen but for the wrong reasons... under the headlights in that gap is the most sensible option and im still not a fan.

I thought about putting them inside the foglight housing but just put them under headlights, im still 50/50 at the mo about them.
think i will give them a few more weeks and then see if i like them there full time. if not i might use them in footwell or boot.

Also had a though about getting some red strips to place inside brake light housing, but dont know if that would be going to far.

Those Audi lights always remind me of rope lights - as used by poor DJs at weddings!

Sorry, that wasn't helpful was it. Rather than individual lights, a glowing solid bar would be much cooler, maybe utilising some fibre optic trick?

Yeah thanks, i will get a few pics up so you can have a propper say, car's looking grubby at mo with plenty of wildlife stuck on the front so might give it a quick wash first, lol.

A solid bar of light would be good/ different, but probs too techy for my simple mind.

Get some pics up soon tho.

cheers pet
