Yeah, back in the good old days of Capris, Cossies and RS Turbos :D

True, I've got to admit I like the Lotus Cortina from the 60's the Capri RS3100 from 70's, the MK 1 Escort RS2000 (not to keen on MK 2 drop nose or what ever its called) MK 1 XR2 of course MK 3 Escort RS Turbo Custom again don't like MK 4 RS & the Capri 280 Brooklands plus the Sierra Cosworth RS 500, don't like the Sapphire models although big wing Escort was ok, even if it was still an old Sierra underneath its new clothes, so Lancia with the integrale thumped them (as well as every one else for 6 years running) at rallying :D

But then I also like the Fiat 131 Abarth rally car that was cool, and the original & therefore with proper race breed development the E30 M3 Evolution, I'm seeing a trend here towards square cars :)

Saw a crazy Zak Speed Capri at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, now thats a mental car with about 500bhp & blew away the so called Bat mobile BMW's in touring car events in the mid 70's.

this one alex?

i actually like the ford ka and they look well nice modded

on engine subject the engine is the same one as used in the old ford anglia withe the exception of electronic fuel injection and it is 1.3 cc but is only insurance group 2 same as an 899 cinq not insurance group 3 like with a cinq sporting

they go for the same price as seis and cinqs are more moddable and quite tuneable and the ford escort RS turbo engines fit if your like fixit pete and love power

not a bad car i think they are very underrated but i admit i have yet to test drive one

The Ka and the cinq are both very good cars, have driven both, and my mate has a Ka and i know exactly how they perform against each other side by side (!).

I know handling can be a personal preference, but the ka seems generally better, a very fun and involving car to drive.

The engines are both good, but different. My mates Ka is quite torquey, but thrashy at high revs, wheras the cinq engine thrives on high revs.

Pure straight line acceleration the cinq beats the Ka (at least the 60bhp version), and it is quite a good few car lengths by the time you get to 60.

I think both cars are brilliant because they capture the essence of a car that is small, fun to drive and neither needs to be expensive or powerful. they both look great too

6 to one and half a dozen to the other in my opinion!

wouldnt a sei just out handle a Ka anyway?

Never driven a KA have you :nutter:

My Sei SX doesn't even come close to my mums KA in terms of handling. Although some new tires would make a big difference though :bang:

The SportKa's are probably a lot better though. Bigger wheels, lower and stiffer suspension, a 1.6 engine, and more!

My parents would probably say the same after sitting in any small car but they said, I quote:

"Never EVER will I sit in a Ford Ka again"

After having one as a rental car once on holiday, they took it back a day later and upgraded.
