When i start my cinq its automatically starts revving for about 5secs... i mean like proper vvvvvrrrrrrrrrrroooooooommmmmmm and then goes quiet and is fine..... i mean its no problem but i used to work at 5:30am and the neighbours think i do it on purpose :S any ideas?

Not much help, but sounds like a good little extra. U could have great fun convincing gullable collegues that uve got a remote control car. lol

My cinq used to rev like hell on start up, found I have a dodgy engine temp sensor, the one for the ecu, not the one for the temp gauge.
Another thing it could be is the idle speed control valve on the throttle body, these are known to collect crap and not work properly.

Mine's done this twice - once the little rubber nipple thingmajig came lose on the throttle cable thingmajig and caused it to open a little more than it should - solved by putting it back on properly and second time bottom of K&N was hitting throttle cable and keeping it open all the time but then ceased on left hand bend - lol - solution - put on filter properly!!! Other than this have no ideas

hia! Think i know wot it is...my sei did this after i had the conversion done, quick poke around under the bonnet and i discovered that the throttle body was loose
