ok so going about doing the headgasket looks fiarly straight forward as long as you dont mess it up etc only got one problem asked about a torque wrench (to do the head bolts) and was asked ratchett or swing? what do i want / need and what measurments does it need to be able to do? however did manage to get a good gasket set and bolts for £15!!!!

thanks in advance!

Ratchet is easier to use

Personally i would reccomend Teng tools, comes with a built in angle gauge too. They aint cheap tho.

ratchet torque gauge is all you need. as for the angle gauge if your a bit dippy like i am, i forget where i am half way thru. so centre punch the head bolts at 12 oclock. (anytime of the day is fine tho lol:D)

then you can go from there. i.e 90degrees, all turn to 3 oclock and so forth
if you get stuck the obvious mark will tell you which to go next.

thanks all for the help will set about doing the head 2mo hopefully wont take that long :S

ok one last question how to you take off the old head bolts (order) is it just reverse of how you would tighten the new ones eg start at 10 instead of 1?
