Yeah..my seicento failed its MOT this morning on "Brake drum locking device insecure [3.5.1k]" Ive had my mechanic look at it, but he doesnt know what the problem is suggesting. He has looked at the drums, and they seem okay.

Anyone shed any light on where the locking device is, what it does, and how it is secured?:worship:

As far as i know there is none mate.

There are 2 small bolts, which bolts through the drums to the hub inside it (so the hole on the drum and hole on the hub matches for the wheel bolts) if that make sense.

when you bolt your wheels on, there won't be any movement on the drums tho! No real securing device!

If the back plate was too corroded it would fail but that is an oblique way of saying that - is the back plate ok?

The would be able to see the fasteners ming refers towith the wheels on would they?
