I've got an anoying problem with my cinqs back bumper. it's kind of hanging of at the corner. I think it's a common problem because I've seen a few other cinqs with the same thing. It seems the back clip or whatever holds it on has snapped off.

anyone know any quick fixes or any suggestions on how to put it back up where it should be?

I've added a pic to explain the prob a bit better ;)

I dont know if it is a prpblem of if it should be like that, but mine is exactly the same, and appears to have stayed on for the past 10 yrs or so! so I doubt it is a problem.

is there a bolt somewhere missing?, i know the seicento front end looks a bit like that unless you put a final bolt in in a really awkward place.

My bumpers are exactly the same mate. I know the front one may have been off but i can't see any way of getting it to fit better. Does look a bit worrying i'll admit, but maybe it's just another one of those cinq 'quirks' we're gonna grow to accept!

Now you mention it, I really dont know.

I took it to a dealership today and paid £30 for the privilege of being told that my fuel lines had no leaks, but I had an oil leak on the rocker cover gasket.

It seems to me that fuel leaks from the tank breather whilst cornering hard - most of the time, and it was this that I told the service guy to look at. There was no mention of that on the test report.

As for its replacement under recall, I rang another garage who told me that the recall had "finished", so even if my Cinq was one affected and hadn't had the tank replaced, I couldn't have it done now without a nice hefty charge!

Make of that what you will, I loved it.:D:D

yeah I think there should be one last bolt, but the plastic that it bolts onto has snapped off so there's no way to fasten it back on properly:( just wondered if anyone had any ideas, cos it annoys the hell out of me!

The wheels are 14" BK Racing 166 (i think)

btw, it's red honest, for some reason the camera has made it look orange!
 
same thing happened to my front end, i ended up removing the plastic bit and sticking a thinner bolt right thru the hole with a wing nut to tighten it, but thats why it hangs like that.

i didn't think they could 'end' a recall, wasn't the petrol tank a danger?

Dark confession time, I gave my baby a wee smack while reversing, and it now looks exactly like the photo above.

There's a bolt at the rearside of the bumper, the connecting bit of plastic from bolt to bumper has snapped.

When I win the Lottery I'll go to the scrappie and get a replacement bumper, that should solve it.


I can see the top of my car in the car park...
 
I noticed this on my Cinq SX too. I tried to push it closer to the car when I first got it but it seemed stiff so I assumed its another fiat trait. More cheeky character to our wonderful little motors!!!

I've got some Evo-Stick somewhere. Are you sure it will be strong enough?
