Hey guys and gals! :)Searched on the forum but couldnt find anything -

Just a simple question, putting 14 inch abarth alloys on a cinq which has 13 standard sporting alloys wont need any special parts, or adjustment, or effect the speedo or anything will it?

I could just bolt them on a like a usual wheel change?
[hope so]

Cheers people!

Any specific size front spacers, what soughta cost are they also :D

As fitted, they came with rather neat 10mm front spacers. You might even find some at a reasonable price at your local FIAT dealer.

Speedo thing will depend on the wheels -- most people fit Conti Sport in 185/50/14.

If it's a Sporting it won't need lowering.

That will raise the gearing a little: speedo is likely to be more accurate.

fingres do you never sleep! :p. i run 175/50/14 on the abarth wheels, with the standard 10mm fiat spacers, works a treat! dont you need longer studs too!!

edit:- mine defo has longer studs for the front spacers!

I sleep late. Just been down the garage prepping the 899 for a drive shaft (or CV joint, whichever comes easiest) change.

If you get the full Abarth kit, I think it comes with bolts to hold the spacer to the hub and you then use your old wheelnuts to bolt to the spacer. But, yeah, otherwise longer bolts or a stud conversion.

abarth wheels from factory come with studs sorry forgot this. cinq ony had bolts not a stud and nut like myself. studs are 10.50 each and you will need eight if you go that route.

as for your bolts are you sure there long enough when i snapped some studs last week i tried cinq bolts and they were too short, screwed in but only one mabee two revolutions. wasnt happy :p.

Hey sorry late reply internet problems, I quoted the size of the tyre on the wheels.

I'm currently totally refurbishing the alloys also as they were a bit messy (bubbled paint - LOTS of scuffs etc), making them a silver/charcoal colour metallic.

So i need 10mm spacers for the front, which i can get from a fiat dealer?? (thank god i'm about 2 miles for one)

Also yes its a sporting so lowered, so my speedo wouldnt be affected?

Yes the alloys are 14"

:D

What size tyres are you going to use?

this is so weird, as i thought that but i got that reading from the alloy, which would lead me to believe that they are 13's not 14 inch alloys, but when i manually measured them, it came to 14inch, maybe i am just bad at measuring thus i wont need spacers, but when i put them against my original 13 i got on my car now, there an inch taller?!?!?! surely there not stretched onto the alloy?

or my original alloys are a 12, but there orig cinq ones

What design are your wheels - 1, 2 or 3?

sorry but LOL

beginning to remind me of the link posted in my signiture

If they are 13'' they arent abarth alloys, they must be either sporting wheels, aftermarket alloys with an abarth centre cap stuck on them or sporting wheels with an abarth aftermarket centre cap

Oh boy, here we go again.

The overall size of the wheel when measured may indeed be 14 inches. Its the size of the groove behind that that determines the wheel size, so probably 13s therefore not Abarth.

Diameter does not determine the scrubbage factor, that is an offset issue.

Those giving advise assumed you knew what you were talking about and gave you advice for genyoine Abarth wheels.

What spacers you need for your unknown wheels is complete guesswork.

Cheers
