It arrived this morn, I opened it up to find everything all there which I was really panicing over as I got it for a good price.

Looking at the TB there is no cable routing and it's all clipped shut. Are these electronic throttle (no cable involved)?

Thanks

No biggie. Grab yourself another TB. The Dell'Orto 48mm one off a K Series is one that folk have used on the 16v. Alloy and plastic versions -- I like the alloy one, but I'm a traditionalist -- about £30 from your local scrappy and it has Dell'Orto (which apparently means something rude in Spanish!) on it.

On what engine are you going to use the inlet manifold? P75? 1100 sei MPI? The inlet manifold is quite big and I doubt it will fit in the sei/ cinq engine bay.

If the manifold fits to your engine however naybe you could use the 1.6 16v Bravo tb (46mm) or the 1242 16v tb (40mm). As far as I know these have the same sensors as the stock P75 and sei 1100 MPI tb's.

It's going onto the 8v sei head (atleast I think it's the sei head, might be the P75).

The 1.4 8v TB is 4 bolt whereas the ones you have mentioned are only 3 bolt, I have a brava one sitting here that was originally going to go onto my current inlet but even with the holes milled to match still wouldn't fit properly.

Thanks

The difference in number/ pattern of clearance holes for the bolts could be easily solved with a spacer plate I think. If I understand your problem correctly.

Are you already certain the manifold will fit in your engine bay? It is one large piece of plastic. That should be my first concern, not the tb.

i'm pretty certain it will fit, it's not too big to be honest. only a little longer on the back than my current but i'll get some comparative photo's when I start the build thread for those uncertain.

Which TB do you think I should buy, alloy one and plastic ones are both in those links. I would prefer the alloy as mentioned but have read that the plastic ones stick, but it's cheaper hehe.

Thanks

I hope the manifold will fit in your bay, because I am planning to do a 1.4 8v engine swap :).

Have you tried bolting a custom spacer plate on your 1.4 8v mani, then bolt your brava tb onto the spacer plate?

If I did that I wouldn't have much room left to play with in terms of induction.

Still waiting on GSR to call back regarding a new kit, have a feeling I will be BMC'ing all the way at this rate :yum:.

As for the Head, I will be porting and polishing as well as a very hot cam. I'll put more in detail when the build thread comes up, i'll start that when I pull my current lump out.

Thanks
