Hello there i seem to have a problem with my wiper a few days ago the one stopped working on the drivers side,i had alook and it seems the one bar has come off from the other,i pushed them back together and it has been working ok but now it has come off again does anyone no if im missing something or how they stay together any help be great its raining lol

The bit that comes off is an effect of a different problem. Take the spindle out of the drivers side and clean it up and lubricate it before reassembly.

This will help the arm to work without undue force.

Cheers

Will try that tomoz then so they only push in together anyway nothing holds them together

Re: Wiper problem

One problem I had with both my Cinq's wipers was that stripping and lubing the spindles and linkage increases the free play (due to wear) this causes the o/s wiper to either hit the n/s wiper or clean the A pillar :)
I fixed this on one Cinq by replacing the whole linkage from a scrapped Sei and on the other I cut and welded the o/s spindle arm approx 5mm longer which reduced the sweep of the wiper arm enough to miss the A pillar :)

If you can it's probably easier to get a linkage from a scrap Sei and swap it out.(y)

Re: Wiper problem

I just experienced and fixed the same problem with my Sei.

The two 'cups' for the ball-linkage on the arm are made of plastic and both have a tiny lock of sorts. When these lock-thingies break, the cups can turn till they fall off of the arm. It's a silly system, really.
I fixed it by fitting a screw and washer through the tiny hole where the plastic lock was before it broke. I the cut the screw and fitted the whole lot - works perfectly though it's not really a pro fix, lol.

Buying a new or used arm will bring the same result. Instead, I recommend fixing the one you have if you have the same problem I had. And remember to lube up the system, of course. ;)
