Hi, I was caning the &^%$#@! out of my car yesterday, when all of a sudden the gearstick went all floppy.
Inverstigation showed that the first to second actuator on the gearbox had come of it's splined shaft!
After driving home in first gear at about 25Km/H I set about repairing it.
Now it seems that the spilned shaft is spring loaded, and maybe the spring isn't that springy anymore.
I have used a screw in the hole of the shaft to pull it out so I could fix the actuator to it, but the shaft seems too short, it only seems to go into the actuator halfway, is this normal?
