No such animal, so far, but there are attempts to improve the mechanism. See the recent posts by J333EVO, for the most evolved example to date -- very GTM/World Rally style.
Or move the selector inside, ala Nitrane.

That's what we have done but gone a step further but moving pivot points on the shaft as well as slightly shorten shaft's overall length making a much shorter positive shift.
On the pics I posted you will see we fabricated a new cable retainer so its in line with the raised cable pivit point on the shaft.

J333EVO's pics here. The gearchange work there is essentially a development of stuff started by Nitrane, which should still be on his website (Google for Nitrane). There are some pics, I think, of member brooky's implementation somewhere here, too (search for brooky).
