Don't know for sure where the other guys got their stuff, but I know that back in Glasgow there is an electro plating company who chrome plate all sorts of stuff from Jag E-Type & original Beetle bumpers & hub caps to rocker covers, so I would imagine there are similar companies down here. A flick through the yellow pages may show some.

Either that or someone does them, I know there are a good few Renault tuners have them in stock for the 5 etc (yes I know another referance to the Frenchies), just haven't had the time with the Fiat yet to find out an equivalent type company.

Aaron.

edited to say, you could just take it off & polish it, something I've never done but all metal can be polish eventually with the right equipment & time!

Very knowledgeable, they really know their money's worth!

The 1.1 FIRE engines have an aluminium alloy cam cover, which you can take off and polish up on a polishing machine. There's one in the members motors section in the engine bay thread.
