Is that sound deadening material (at least thats what i think it is) underneath the bonnet of a sei really neccesary? it'd have to come off anyway if i want louvres in my bonnet
Took mine off yesterday, doesnt seem to have mad any difference at all. Think its meant to even the temperature between the outside and inside of the engine bay so you dont get moisture build up on the inside as it doesnt seem to deaden sound...! P.S. looks better without it.
Yeah, it is just to deaden sound, but also keeps heat in the engine bay which can help in the winter months, but with any tuned car which inevitably produces more heat, then ditch it, anyway how else can you here the glorious noise from under bonnet from induction roar to dump valves pshhhhhtting!
engine produces enough heat as it is well iv taken it off now and il see what difference it makes over the next couple of days. looks a bit nicer without it
