Okay, so after allegedly having my car 'fixed' by the men in blue overalls, the sod is still leaking oil out of the air filter, what could this be?

Also, today the engine tone seemed to change, and now loses much more power going up hills, first sounds like it's on the edge of stalling all of the time and it just generally feels sluggish. This may've been exacerbated by my spectacular accidental jump over a hump-back bridge at 60mph, taking off a foot into the air. It seems to be using a fair bit of petrol too, I'm not sure what the 'regular' MPG is but this seems to be borderline ridiculous.

So guys, help me out please? I love my Cinq, but Boris feels like she's dying a slow and painful death.

:p Haha

I guess the burning question now is:

How much? Firstly for a compression test/where would I get this done? And secondly how much would, for example, worn rings, cost to replace and should I start screaming?

You should maybe start screaming. You can pick up a compression tester for less than £20 from Halfrauds: it's easy enough to do it yourself, really needs 2 people. Most garages will charge £20 or more to do the test.

If you get low compressions it really means pulling the engine, so, the best bet may be to see if you can find a known good, low mileage 899 one and swap them. That, if you can find an engine with good compressions, will be the cheapest way.
