anyways i was driving down the street the other day "no road markings"" and i drove over a mini island... and i hear this terrorble sound so i pulls over .. well 2 cut along story short ive nacked my gearbox but i didnt hit it on the island ,,, ive been told that because ive lowerd my sei that low that my gearbox has failed cuz the driveshaft poped out =SS:confused:

do u have 2 buy longer driveshafts ??

Unless the shaft has made a break for freedom through the casing then it should pop back in, but we do need more info.

I suppose if its a Sporting it could have popped out of the cup if the bushes are very tired.

how low is low?
.

well... hummm about 90mm i think.:p

thanx.

If it was driven a mile then the drive shafts were still in place, unless it was down hill.

What bump stops (thickness) do you have?

I've got my suspension over 120mm though that's with around 1 turn of lock reduction & don't have problems. A quick thought, -45mm makes the drive shafts about level, the shortest distance between the diff & hub, so -90 should be at the same point as stock suspension but in the opposing direction.
