I am in process of replacing the rear part of the exhaust. I do have some problems separating the two pipes, they were put together using some exhaust glue. Any tips that do not require the use of my angle grinder very much appreciated. Heat perhaps?

Big hammer and a chisel

Heat might do it, but make sure you damage the part you are replacing, not the part you are keeping.

Thanks all for replies. I actually do have a grinder and it was necessary (it was me putting the exhaust together last time, so it was seriously stuck), I just did not want to disturb the neighbours on Sunday. Chisel and hammer were also helpful. Job done. Thanks again.
