As above really, can someone tell me the most least destructive way of removing the black strips on the roof of a cinq.

Oh bugger, I had a feeling they would be glued, i'm guessing double sided to refit, yeah?

hairdrier??? they are clipped in and are metal underneath. best way is to spray them with wd40 and with a old bank card lift them up so the wd can get under it (the rubber will stick to the paint otherwise)
next open the boot and remove the two pins holding the lid on.
you can then pull the end of the strips and they will slide off towards the back off the car.

any other way will damage them as they have a metal rail molded into the rubber which clips on pins on the roof

Sorry, read it as roof stripes, not roof strips.
