I'm trying to replace the fuel filter on my seicento but am unable to remove the hose on the downstream end of the filter. I'm probably being useless but does anyone have any ideas?

usually a pair of pliers will allow you to get it to spin enough to come off.

What sei is it? MPI or SPI?

if MPI why are you changing it? It should never need to be replaced and isnt part of any service schedule

Thanks for all the replies. It's an SPI. The upstream side was came off in 2 bits. The inner bit had wings you squeezed to allow the outer bit to slide off then you just pulled the inner bit off of that makes sense. The downstream side is completely different. It still looks like there are two bits in the but all the squeezing in the world hasn't helped. There are 2 flanges i suppose you could call them on the outer bit but squeezing them hasn't helped.

Ah, you haven't even got the clip off yet.

Buy small worm clip and break the current one off. Grab the tongue at the end and twist and pull, it will unravel.
