hi, we have strange whistleing noise coming from the front of our newly aquired seicento! first i thought it was coming from the door seals but ive opened both of them when it happens and its still there. seems to be louder on passenger side and it kicks in at approx 20mph! any ideas or things i could check? matt

does it change sound when you accelerate?

Might be the air filter housing not sealed properly.

cheers all, ill check it over today.why would the aerial cause it..just the way it catches the wind?

the only above 20mph probably means it is airflow over a sharp edge, wing mirrors, ariel, sunroof, etc.

If it were induction leak artifice etc. you probably would get it worse at tickover stationary or in 1st gear...

found the small whistle size hole in the wing mirror where the caps missing.makes a perfect whistle...! thanks all

Much worse with a Citroen 2CV. The engine muffler/ oil cooler thermostat, is a plastic clip on grill cover which is also really good as a frisbee or boomerang... So come the autumn when it gets cold all the kids have a new toy.

And the parts man says 'but Ive just sold three today I have no more in stock...'

I wire locked them on from inside...
