Hey guys im new to Fiat Forum so be nice!
Basically ive finished uni for the year and i have a little bit of money tucked away and a lot of spare time on my hands, so im pretty much thinking of buying a cinq as a project car for the summer! Ive had a cinq before, and even with the constant breakdowns etc i loved it to bits. It had to be scrapped in the end though as someone thought it would be funny to reverse into it and write it off when the car was parked outside my house!
Anyway I work for my uncle who is a mechanic so i have access to the tools and space I need to work on my project so thats not a problem.
Basically im aiming to get hold of a cinq sporting in yellow, strip it down, and fit a turbo to the 1108 FIRE engine, im going for high boost so ill be fitting dished pistions for a lower CR (about 8.0:1 is what to aim for im told)
Does anyone know where i can get hold of either a van aaken or novitec turbo conversion kit? And also the correct dished pistons i need to lower the CR?
