the best way to do it is to take the window out and then you can push it in from underneath. I need to sort mine out but i really can't be bothered. it's a job for the summer, methinks

Oh yes we have, the way we did it was to remove the window (not sure how it could be done without, plus less chance of damaging your glass) i would set a few hours aside for this and some help would be better to ensure you don't smash the glass. First of all you need to remove the door handle and door card form the inside of the car and then behind this you will find a water proof membrane (mine was already cut in certain places as the glass had been replaced from a previous owner). This allows me to get at the window and the runner/motors. You could always cut it and then tape it back up with some gaffer tape or buy a new one.

Ensure the window is fully up before removing the runner bolts. Once me and Brian could get a good view of the window and all the other bits we took out the front runner of the window that is at the door hinge end inside the door itself. It is secured in place by two bolts (10mm IIRC), one which is located behind the door pocket at the bottom of the door and the other behind the where the door card sits right above the other one (see pic). Once these bolts are out the runner is free and you need to slide it out of the door through the cut out panels in the door (be careful not to drop it to the bottom of the door otherwise you could be swearing for a while trying to get it back out).

Next is to undo the two bolts that attach the end of the lifting arm to the bottom of the window. Lower the window down to you can get to the two bolts, when your lower the window make sure that you do this carefully as its supported by very little and make sure that you lower it enough so the top is clear of the seal all round. As you have remove the bolts get a helper to hold the window by holding between their palms of there hands, once the bolts are out both people slowly and carefully lift the window out of door, to do this you need to lift the back end up and drop the front end down. Once you have that out the rest should come out with easy. Careful with the glass though.

Now you should be able to get at the seal you want removing, it should just pull out but be careful you don't not damage the bit that is attached to the car itself. The new seal should clip into the bit left on the car with some firm pressing (this was probs the hardest part), take your time and be patient. Just relised that part 5 is the whole thing, i only fixed one part of part 5. But i am sure that if your wanting to remove all of it then it should not be too hard.

Fitting the window back in the reverse of removing it, the worse part is trying to get the window back into the door. You need to pull the two seals on the door apart slightly in order to get the window and the metal bracket on the bottom of it.

Oh the haynes does a good break down of removing the window/seal.

Edit: Just found this picture of a cinq window and you can cleary see the metal bracket on the bottom of the window that connects to the lifting arm.

With the window all the way down, use a flat nosed screwdriver and slip it down the back of the rubber (working from outside of car) at a slite angle back towards you, there is a small lip on the back that the screwdriver should stop in.
Once in that lip slowly bend the screw driver down to the floor. This should then bend the plastic bit away from the door frame just inside the the frame work.(be careful not to damage anything)
If you start from very close to the front of the door and work your way to the back of the car it should just pop off at one point.
