Just when I'd gotten used to my cinq sporting dumping water on my foot when I filled the washer bottle and topping up the expansion bottle from the small rad. leak, I have now developed a more worrying leak. Water is coming out of somewhere at the back of the engine, though I can't see where. It's using about 1/2 litre every 8-10 hours, and is dripping out when the car is stationary. (I can't check when I'm driving)
I make sure it is topped up to the max mark in the expansion bottle and it will be going in the garage in the week as I am mechanically inept, however, I would like any suggestions as to what it might be. It drives fine (I do 200 miles a day in it), doesn't overheat and, but for the fact that it leaves a small pond wherever you park it, behaves fine.
Am I looking at something terminal or is this a 'common' problem? Any help/info would be gratefully received. Thanks. DeeDoubleYoo.

I had something like this last year, it was a leak in the hosing behind the TB and it was the plastic connection that connects two or three different hoses that had perished, I fixed it with a part from an Uno but it didn't last very long.

I got a new hose section from the Sei and the junction is replaced by a moulded pipe.

Cost £28 from Fiat and took a couple of hours to fix due to space being tight back there.

Hi Liam,

Not too sure about the uprated part but I did give the mechanic your reply so would presume he took heed. He even fixed the washer bottle so I've got a nice clean windscreen and no wet feet when I attempt to fill it at the garage!!!!!!

Hopefully that's the end of my 'aquatic' problems and I can move on to the 'squealling' noise which he thinks is the 'pulley' bearing. Anyway, that's for the car's next visit.

I'm finding the cinq incredibly resilient, given that I'm using it to commute 1000 miles a week, the sort of job I'm sure it wasn't designed for.
