Do you mean cornering or braking and do you mean standing water?
My Sei is resonable at stoppig in a straight line in damp to resonable amounts of water but miserable at going around corners, when it is not dry. It will lift off on deep puddles. It has about 4mm/5mm of depth front/rear.
If you inflate tires more you tend to reduce the footprint of the tyre, i.e. the amount of time it has so squeegee the water from in front of its track, If it does not squeegee the water then you are floating, and wont get any weight transfer on braking, i.e. there wont be any braking.
