hi ive had ma cinq about 6/7 months now an i have always had a leak supposebly. i was wondering whether anyone else has had this before an whether it is a fiat problem.
the leak must cum through the boot sum where
an leaves a big puddle in the sp[are tire part. when parked up the puddle soaks throught the seats adn leaves my seats all wet behind teh passenger side,
any tips
thanks

got the same with mine, havent found it for sure yet.have found i get water in from the drivers side rear window weeping past the rubber seal.try putting silicone sealent under the boot rubber, check theres no water coming in the rear lights or window.worth taking everything out of the boot to the bare metal and getting a friend to hose the outside of the car, while you look for leaks or ta ke it to the car wash and do the same.

arrrrrgggggghhhhh i have the same stupid problem!!! i reckon ya just drill a hole, thats what im gunna do!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,dave's being funny(naughty dave) theres a removable bung in the spare wheel well if you need to let water out(as i did).use the steps i mentioned earlier to try and find the leak.also if the boot floor isnt to wet ,you can use talcum powder to try and trace the course of the water.

check your tailight fittings are securly screwed in. that was what caused my problem

I had the same problem. Think it was the light leaking as it stated after I'd changed a bulb. I just covered the whole rear of the car in newspaper to soak it up and when it rained I just changed it. Never got round to fixing it properly. :)

cheers
ive sent the car t the garage and the problem is being sorted out as we speak
turns out the seal at teh bottom of teh back window had gone adn therefore is beign replaced thanks

had t drill a hole there was no bung
thanks anyway no more water has cum in in 2 days
so looks good as we hav had a lot of rain
i filled the gole after we a bit of sponge
guy at garage told me t keep the spare tyre out of
the car for a while jus t watch it

this is the same problem ive had, it took me ages to find the source of the leak,

one of the rear light clusters is only held in with one screw instead of two (on mine neway), consequently water gets through the gap because its not tight enough, and leaks into the boot

thanks jus read ur post an noticed that mines only held in by one screw on the left hand side. so ive taken the light off an looked at the sealant an i can see that the side wher thers no screw is soaked so ive used sum tile sealer for a bathroom an sealed the sealant t the car. its water resistant and should mean the end of my problem. fi any1 is guan do this amek sure u get the the sealant that seals not sets so it can b taken off when bulbs need t b changed etc

same as me then
ive sealed now an had no more problem ive also covered the screw hole wi sum special waterproof tape the car is all sorted now until the next problem
