He's back! We love your stories! Anyway, no such thing as a Golf 2.0 TDI, 2.0 SDI yes, which most cars could beat (16 seconds 0-60, it's built for economy more than anything). There's the GT TDI (2.0) but you would be left for dust (0-60 9 seconds) long before 70 even if cruising.... so which was it?

Re: in love with my cinq <3

Yeah they are 1.9tdi's if i remeber correctly the engine is quite common and used in the Seats' and Skodas' as well. (I THINK)

There would be no chance of even coming anywhere near one of those if it is the 1.9tdi unless your running a 1242 turbo. (NOS would prob help as well)

But yeah Cinq's are fun if that's what your trying to say!

Re: in love with my cinq <3

There is a 1.9 TDi in various guises, from around 100BHP up to 150BHP - according to parkers I think the slowest was 11 seconds - not going to check though. The 2.0 TDI is the GT version, i.e. not a chance! The 2.0SDI - it does exist as above and any sporting should have it easily up to 60-70, however, I don't understand why VW have used that?

Well put it this way my mate has a 1.9tdi Ibiza totally standard and will near as dammit leave me standing from the traffic lights top-end obviously and occasionally corners.... Which is quite surprising to be honest

.....and given an infinite amount of time and an infinitely sharp blade there is no end to how thinly you can split a hair.

Nope Paul - I'd have to say you'd be surprised at how quick a standard 1108 cento is off the line - feisty little Italian engine and all the weight of a sheet of A4 make for good emergency starts.
