Hi all
laurens seicento shewy has now just sprung a leak from the seam from the back of the fuel tank has any one got any idea if fiat will still replace them under the recall ????

Its a 2001 model

the affected vin numbers are in the FAQ's
also it depends if the car has had it already
bear in mind after 8 years its a reasonable time for a tank to last IMO

My Schewy is a 2002 and had one done in 2003 and then a second one done under Fiat warranty free of charge.

So count it thats 2 done on the same car free by Fiat. Mine was not even in the affected range.

If the car is under a current VOSA recall, and hasn't yet been done they have to carry out the work. You can check whether your car falls into the affected production run on the VOSA website

Mine was never in the affected range, but i have had two tanks done for free.

Just ring your dealer, adn if they say no, ask them to speak with fiat HQ. If you get no result, speak with fiat HQ direct
