after lowering how long dose it usually take for the hight of th car to go all the way down, i did mine today and fitted some 60mm springs, the back it perfect the tire is just sitting inside the arch(14s) but the front is still about an inch gap, dose the front take longer to settal or is this aslow as it will go. wot ever the case my car is offically a go-cart with a roof now

It will depend on how much you drive the car. I'd say with daily use it will drop to its correct hight after about 1 to two weeks.

Give it a good thrashing around some twisty roads.

wat u will find man is that the front will always b higher than the back... this happens on nearly every car, the rear arch will b slightly lower than the front due to the front needin extra clearance to go round corners!

but yea get some pics up pronto!!!

wat i meant was cause of the way the cars are made there will appear to b more of a gap at the front even when lowered the same as front arches are made bigger due to them needed more clearence to steer!

i had lots of trouble with my suspension so mine has only just settled now after about a month

right just finished cleaning the ripper
it all went together a peace of **** just hope it drops abit more, may go take it for a good thrashing now the roads are dryish.

did u cut the bump stops, cause i know mine where sitting on them at the rear

i got some pics of the whole car, but there too big, i will go check out the bumper stops but i really dont think they will be on them.

mine was on 'em with a 40mm drop heh

right i have just inspected the bumperstops and yes we are sitting on them well and trully, how much should o cut off them?? and wots the easiest way to do this?? is it likly to be on the front ones aswell??

if u have some sharp siccors then u can just cut through them....

there should b a little line directly in the middle of them, where the stop goes narrow. just cut there and take half of it off.

and the front will b the same. if u have small hands an small sissors then u can just whip the wheel off an do it, if not then u will have to take the whole shock off!

by the way u really really dont want to drive it while it is sittin on the stopps, gets quite interestin so i have heard!

use a sharp scalpel type knife, pull the front bump stop down and its easier to cut

looks like i will playing with it tommro, and taking it appart again as i aint small

was gonna say... mine looks lower than that and its only dropped 30mm!... itsgonna go so low when u cut the bumps!

Just wondering... Is it ok for the car to be sitting really low on standard shocks? Isn't that what the bumpstops are for? - to keep the shocks from compressing too far?

not a good idea on standard shocks as they wont last very long and shock that dont work aint a good idea!

Hmmm.... Where'd I get some nice Spax shocks then? FastFiat do them but they are some other make...
