Got car back today after having the head skimmed headgasket replaced new cam belt and oil filter & change and the fuel injector light is on.
The car is not right idling idling at about 1200rpm before dropping slightly but not to how it should. it also stays on when car is warmed up and drove. Car also felt a little bit flat when driving as though the usually poke wasn't there

It is on from cold so does that pretty much rule out the lambda sensor?
Have the garage just missed soemthing off or is it more serious?
Its going back tommorow mornign anyway but would appreciate your excellent knowledge.

They have missed the injector light, which is serious, unless it only came on after you picked up the car. You should have not driven it away.

Your lips should have moved but no sound should have come out.

The ECU stores the error codes and these can be extacted with a reader and it could be lots of things.the problem diagnosed need not be anything serious but you shoud not drive the car far or hard, limp to garage... the ECU may be missing a signal (e.g. cause a wire is not connected) and playing the mixture control by 'ear' from memory.

Sorry

When you say they have missed the injector light where would they have missed it from?

Ha well it was my dad they gave the car too. (garage is 2 mintue drive from his work) I went to collect it and noticed the light. He had already mentioned the idle.
Still it is parked there now ready for them to diagnose in the morning.
