Hey

I've got a bit of a problem, my brake lights are not working, however the strip brake light in my spoiler does?

I've checked the bulbs and they have not blown and checked the fuse also, altho im prettty sure the strip brake light wouldn't work if the fuse had gone anyway?

Im stumped now? Any1 got any ideas? Any help will b much appreciated

Cheers Mike

I would have said the switch but the spoiler one works. If not the switch then the bulbs but they work. Very odd. Could have been a bad earth on the lighting unit but that would stop all bulbs working. It is certainly a good one. Try disconnecting your LED spoiler one to see if it is drawing too much current away from the bulbs. Doubt it but this is the only thing i can think of

A couple of weeks a go both my brake lights and reverse lights stopped working which made the car unuseable so i took both back lights out and checked them to find nothing wrong replaced all the bulbs even though the others werent blown and guess what they still didnt work
The break light switch was alright so i checked the fuse box and after past experience have learned to ignore the symobols for the fuses and instead took each fuse out one by one and checked it untill i got to this brown 75 amp fuse which i replaced and my brake lights and reverse lights started to work.

go figure that one out
theres nothing like a fiat

Thing is fuses only blow for a reason so if i were you i'd get searching before you burn some wire out. 7.5 amps is quite a lot down a little piece of wire if you have a short somewhere
