Hi. Am out the country at the mo so can't get a quote on a respray on my seicento. just wondered if anyone has and a rough price. not the sporting model but aim to get the sporting front/rear bumpers prior to respray. it's a red one . forgot to mention. thanks

it's on an 01 plate. though low mileage the bodywork is a bit dented and dinked in places as expected on this age of car and the paintwork not so hot. just thought why not if the price reasonable

OK thanks. will have a look round on my return to UK. just a cheap and cheerful respray . not going to be a show car or anything so does not have to be an outstanding job but not to crap either

If the paint work is dull and faded, red is pretty bad for it, a good buff up will be cheaper than a respray, and give a far better finish.

A cheap respray will look dreadful, particularly if you don't prep the dings.

Cheers

PD

Agree with rally a buff up will bring the old undercoat paint to the surface, think a respray is the wrong option here

If you want it done properly, would probably budget for around £1,000 minimum ... if you want it done cheaply, find a place that does it cheaper than that ;)

1000 minimum :)? At this exact moment ? I don't think so :).

Hmm i have to disagree with people :(, If the respray is around the region of 300/400 i would not think is a bad price. I doubt a buff would look better than a respray with a buff

Where abouts are you from? IS a place near me in Eask kilbride, would do a full respray for about 400 ish. They are not famous or known, but repsraying in his orginial colour they are more than adequate.

If i go the buffing route and buy some front/rear sport bumpers and tailgate the same red as my car do FIAT colours normally match up OK or does the colour vary from car to car ? Ooh just one more thing are the bumpers easy to fit ?

Bumpers are easy enough to fit... Just a pain to get to the side bolts at times... just make sure the colour codes match up... I find North is cheaper than south for a respray. i had a great job on mine...

depends what shade of red it is, i am assuming it isnt the sporting red as that isnt bad to match up.

If its a metallic red you might have problems with the buffer route
