How come the main beam doesn't come on without the side lights or whatever they are called on?

Bit tedious when it comes to flashing people (Lights not me, obviously). It is dodgy Italian engineering or my car?

You shouldn't be turning you high beam on to flash people. You should be able to just pull the light stalk towards you to flash your lights. On some cars when the dipped beams aren't in use when you flash your lights (pull the stalk towards you) the dipped beams flash rather than your high beam lights.

Remember that a flash of the lights is to indicate your presence.

Just pull the stalk towards you.

Blah hate it when people flash me out of junctions.

wish the guy that pulled out on me flashed anything let alone his lights

if its a cinq, the main beam stalk to me doesnt feel like it actually moves a switch, it feels like you are bending it, but it does flash - park in front of a wall or shop window, you will see!

Yup, it only does feel like it will break if I pull it towards me!
