Hi everyone i am doing a 1242 conversion for my cinq. I picked up my punto 60 engine a week ago. the guy i got it off said it just needs a new headgasket but he was vey wrong the engine had been severly over heated so much that a couple of the valve seats had nearly fallen out also all the valve guides had moved! so here's some pics so far.

thats one dusty looking engine hope that you got it cheap?

you fixing it then? Id just take it back and get a better one to start off with.

yea the engine is finished now, i'v just got to make the 15mm exhaust spacer the the engine is ready to go in! i paid £80 for it, good or bad? i wasn't expecting it to be so dusty. it's the 176.b4.000 which is perfect i heard so i had to get it. all the work carried out was in my own time so i didnt mind. here is some more pics
