Hey, from info from these forums iv found that i need to change the radius arm bushes on my sei 1.1 sporting. However all the websites and motor shops iv been to have only got trailing arm bushes. i know the trailing arm and the radius arm are different things but would trailing arm bushes do the job i need on the radius arm?

if not does anyone know where i can get "radius arm" bushes from because wherever iv looked it just comes up as rear trailing arm. im quite confused.

thanks

Thanks m8 was getting rather confused... i was looking at powerflex because i dont have a press and they are finger push in but i cant really afford them i can get standard bushes for £5 on trade and its only so that itl pass m.o.t... with some hard work is it possible to fit standard bushes without a press?

thanks

Ive only fitted the powerflex bushes, and yes they just tap in. The originals are basterds to remove, so they'll probably be the same to fit...and without a press.....well i dont know:confused:

i tried pulling them out with a threaded bar and some nuts. the arm distorted and so did the lenght of stud bar(n)
Cut/grind the inside end off the bush then a making sure you have the correctly sized tube/washer pull the entire bush through the arm including the outer metal case. You'll need M12 course studding with a minimum hardness of 10 & a large supply of nuts a grade weaker M12.

Is there any advantage in after you cut off the inside end inserting a pad saw into the bolt hole and cutting until the saw is part way into the outer metal of the bush. Then using the studding to pull out the weakened bush?

I hate bushes.
