Hey,

Everything went smoothly, taking the old wheel off and putting the new bos and wheel on.

The horn is not working:

When i press the button i hear a clicking soung and that is it. And i have connected the wire from the boss to the horn ?

Is this problem with the actual horn ? or a fuse ?

Well also note i have put a bit of copper grease on to the bottom of the boss and where the hole where the shaft goes into.

Also the horn wasn't working when i took the old wheel off (but this is only recently)

Thanks
Ming

Most likely horn. Try cleaning up the contacts, check for good earth, etc.

BTW, use vaseline (or silicon grease) on electrics rather than copper slip..........

hmmm

Should mine look like the one above? Mine only got one of those metal bits.

There is no wire on the horn but one connect to the horn.

Shall i just try and clean up the metal bit ?

Sorry for the dodgy describtion.

anyway here is my verdict :D

The 330mm momo wheels is amazing!! is abougr 20mm smaller that the orginial sporting, everythings feels much mroe direct and no longer feels like a bus driver!!!

Changing down to a 330mm size steering wheel is a must!

 I'd never consider my cinq to have a bus size steering wheel

I think the standard one is already small enough LOL! Saying that I drive a Scudo too, so the Cinq feels ultra small in comparison!

Both steering wheels are very nice. Is it possible to fit a wheel like this to a Sei with an airbag and not have any warning lights come on if you remove the genuine wheel?

Was yours a non airbag model to start with?

IF your sei has a mechanical bag, does it have a warning light at all? Check when you turn the key in the ignition.

If its electronic, the warning light will come on, BUT i still have myairbag ecu linked up. Probably once removed, the light will go out. If not, i'll just remove the bulb :)

Cheers,

KRistian

isn't only the mk2 sei have the electronic airport anything before is mechanical ?

OH dear, the orginial it is a bus driver wheel, but in saying that i used to have a mini with 10inch steering wheel :D, just prefer smaller wheel now!!!

thread revival but my horn was workin before i removed the old wheel, i only have a red wire on my boss but 2 connectors on my horn button so where do i run a wire for the other connector and does it matter which wire goes on which connector?

Hey smokey

I think you need a second part of the horn button which bolts on between the wheel and the boss. Its a metal earth ring i think which the second wire connects to. Doesnt matter which way round on the button itself.

I may be wrong though... My current cinq horn doesnt work on my momo wheel.... As I have the wrong boss...
