Hi, the worn wheel bearings are a Frequently Asked Failure, they go at 30K ish...

They sound like a cross between a spring bouncing up and down and a mouse stuck in your wheels.

Usual solution - get the haynes out or shell out ( but remember refitting is a reversal of removal)

sos for reply but wine has an effect.

I can see the top of my car in the car park...

A wheel bearing will give off a whirring noise before it totally fails, you should be able to hear it driving with the stereo off or by jacking the car up and spinning the wheel

£30 for a bearing, the hub comes with it. You just take the brake drum off, undo the big hub nut, slide the old bearing/hub off and slide the new one on. You don't need to press any bearings out or anything, it's that simple. Just as well 'cos they don't last long!!
