keep seeing these posts on the yahoo newsgroup for the seis, but what is a bust wheel bearing? - how do I know if I have a busted wheel bearing or common faults.
A wheel bearing will give off a whirring noise before it totally fails, you should be able to hear it driving with the stereo off or by jacking the car up and spinning the wheel
£30 for a bearing, the hub comes with it. You just take the brake drum off, undo the big hub nut, slide the old bearing/hub off and slide the new one on. You don't need to press any bearings out or anything, it's that simple. Just as well 'cos they don't last long!!
