I got new tyres fitted the other week but never had them balanced.

Are you going to all shout at me for being unsafe or is it reallt not that important?

Do i need to rush out to get it done basically?

Thanks in advance :)

OI GO GET IT DONE, sorry even if it dont shake steering about, it can still nacker you wheel bearings quicker than normal ;)

Its only the front tyres that got replaced.

but i have weights on my rear so im guessing they have to be balanced too

Mine shakes really bad over 65 but it did before i got my new tyres. Im guessing thats the tracking though.

If the tracking was out would it fail the mot?

But the tyres would have to be on the car for them to know this wouldnt they?

I used alex's tyres for my mot so the rubbing on my tyres from the tracking being out wouldnt be shown.

get them balanced and tracked, another reason to get it tracked so is that your car can drive in a straight line when u take your hands of the steering wheel....to do your hair an make up :p

Yep, get the balancing done as it'll make the car uncomfortable to drive at speed and put excess wear on everything. All 4 need to be balaced for a smooth ride.

If your tracking's out, I'd get it done asap as it'll wear out the edges of any new tyres you fit.

Thats whats happened to mine pete.. 2 of the front have been getting bad and bald. So took the option to have tracking done today when with tyre was fitted and to my horror the passenger side was 3cm out or something and the driver side was about +0cm

The monkey boys did ask how on earth this happened, I dunno lol - but I never did a tracking check sinced I owned it.

Best £16 to sort it out, now hands free driving ;)

I've notice that the P6000 feels more grippy and car is pulling abit better as per Goodyears Eagle Tourning - does anyone else had this? If not its me

Mike
