Didn't think it was available, ]

I wasn't but what man can resist a Black Esprit? :(

It will be Emerald again, no point using anything else, got all the maps from the Sei so makes sense to do that again as got that to start with.

Would be nice to see if it can cope with the new trick bits too

Couldn't have a bucket to go round the track, got to look half decent as well! plus that Abarth kit has got to be worth 5bhp as its so much slipper through the air with it :slayer:.

too right we all know 1 hours polishing is worth 2bhp

Yeah they are cool, must have been a dealer supplied item seeing as that's two cars we have had have them :D.

and i like them but a pain in the ass if you want to fit an arch kit

Was looking at Quaife website and they list a diff for the Grande Punto, and as they are so kind as to produce a PDF technical drawing it would be rude to not just drop the diff out and have a look if its compatible as it is a Grande punto gearbox http://www.quaife.co.uk/Fiat-Grande-Punto-Quaife-ATB-Differential

Nooo how can you say this ? you are just as bad as those reprabates trying to get me to supercharge the MX5

Good luck with it any way! I'm hand if you need some brute force to make it fit (y)

:yeahthat:
However the 'box housing & diff housing (I seem to remember) can be modified so that everything fits.

If you look at the pdf tech drawing, it says its for a 1.3 uno or 1.4 gt

Yeah saw that the part number "QDH2K" is the same across many Fiats/Alfas/Lancia's everything from 1.3MJ to 2L 16V T, just one of those things that would be nice and you get all excited when a new project stars and you are full of enthusiasm and look all over the net for stuff that would be on a wish list.

Check that out for high then :p

Yes the 1242 head has been thought of, the engine's head is in pieces at moment and weighing up different options.

Yes the engine was removed from a non-aircon Grande Punto.

May consider taking some weight out of the flywheel as well, as its brand new so not like its damaged in anyway so good starting point, though to be fair its not the heaviest flywheel ever but I read that something like 2kg from outer edge of flywheel is equivalent of 100kgs off the weight of the car when performing a standing start, that can't be bad.

Some great stuff on this site
