Yeah they are cool, must have been a dealer supplied item seeing as that's two cars we have had have them

If you look at the pdf tech drawing, it says its for a 1.3 uno or 1.4 gt
Yeah saw that the part number "QDH2K" is the same across many Fiats/Alfas/Lancia's everything from 1.3MJ to 2L 16V T, just one of those things that would be nice and you get all excited when a new project stars and you are full of enthusiasm and look all over the net for stuff that would be on a wish list.
Just looking back at the pics, is that how high a standard cinq is!?!?!? Looks Soooo high!
I got a cinq with rub strips, they different to them ones though (and better IMO)...
got no engine in has it? be loads higher with no engine

The pics of the car are with engine in it, yes that is how high they sit on standard suspension and little wheels.

are you planning to have the inlet fully open, cut them walls back and knife-edge the wall in the ports?
what about using a 1242 16v head on it instead, they are easier to come by and would get rid of the issue
you got a non air con alternator, i didn't know you could get them. i be off to get one of them now
Yes the 1242 head has been thought of, the engine's head is in pieces at moment and weighing up different options.
Yes the engine was removed from a non-aircon Grande Punto.
May consider taking some weight out of the flywheel as well, as its brand new so not like its damaged in anyway so good starting point, though to be fair its not the heaviest flywheel ever but I read that something like 2kg from outer edge of flywheel is equivalent of 100kgs off the weight of the car when performing a standing start, that can't be bad.

I see the water rail off the pump is different too, but assume the hole for the old style rail is still there just not used?
there is a different kind of seal on the GP one, not sure if it matters though.

No pics of head off, cam carrier is off though and cams have been removed I believe, but I was working over weekend so not seen it yet.
