Hi all

There has been vibration when i change gear for a while now, but now the problem is worse.

I am having difficulty selecting gears, first in particular puts up quite a fight, and the others arent easy until i get into 4th and 5th.

Can anyone help? Is it even the clutch that's the problem?

i would guess cable or pivots snapped. sounds from before like the clutch is wrecked anyway, and thats why the mechanisims gone, new clutch needed im afraid if it is (n)

If the clutch has gone to the floor after a while of sticking gearchanges, it could be that the cable has snapped ("L" shaped piece behind the metal cover in the passenger footwell).

As the "L" gets fatigued, it starts to crack and then the crack opens out when you push the clutch in. This affects the dis-engagement of the clutch so you have the gear-changing problem.

Eventually all the bending of the end of the "L" makes it snap off.. pedal goes to the floor.

Any sticky gear-change .. check the clutch is dis-engaging properly first.. and on the Cinq/Sei that could be caused by a failing cable.

£18 for the cable from Fiat, so maybe less from a factor.
