So i managed to mail my mot on

1/ Near-side front directional indicator incorrect color
2/ Offside rear reg plate lamp not working
3/ Front windscreen washer provides insufficient washer liquid
4/ Near-side front suspension arm has excessive play in ball joint
5/ Near-side front macphereson strut has excessive movement in upper attachment
6/ Near-side rear (sill) body has projection caused by corrosion
7/Front exhaust has a mounting that id does not fully support the exhaust system
8/9/ both offside brake pipes excessively corroded
10/11/ Both rear brakes recording no effort
12/ offside front steering system fouling

I can fix it but u guys reckon its worth it??

It's about £200 worth of bits. Where are you going to get a year's transport for that?

Those things could/should have been easy to spot and cost next to nothing to sort before the MOT......

A local Mot centre owner had a good laugh at me about this that the most basic things are ignored then the wonder why the car fails

one simple fix...

New bracket

New pipes, front off side is abit longer than nearside, but still pretty easy to sort

Of course it is, think green, think recycling. Get it done.

However it does worry me slightly that you didn't know tthe back brakes weren't working.

Well the cinq is my old car, now got a punto so it hasn't been driven in a while, so i got one of the guys at work to run it thru a mot to find out if it was worth fixin and selling or scrapping. It didnt cost me anything to find out from a professionals point of view rather than letting me judge for myself.
