Here are two projects that I may never get round to doing. Offered here for your contemplation, dilectation and, maybe, fabrication. Both are rear engined. Both involve Centos.
Fiyota
Take one Cinq and one MR2 turbo (they handle, can be made to do in excess of 200mph, and are becoming cheap). Chop the top off a Cinq, the bottom off a MR2. Weld together. Enjoy on a race track or toll motorway near you.
FIAT powered by Duecati (get it?)
Take one Cinq, a weld in roll cage and some big, thin wall CDS square tubing. Add the engines out of two Ducati 888s. Engines drive by chain to a transverse shaft and from there to a LSD equipped (you'll need it) flywheel, clutch and gearbox assembly. Suspension both ends by double wishbones and monoshock suspension (a la Dallara, Megapin, etc.). One engine can be turned off (and the bike box popped into neutral) for shopping trips, while a crafty ledge above the front cylinders provides a handy receptacle for a week's shopping.
