I have heard and read lots of rumours that a Punto GT turbo engine will ''easily'' fit in a cinq sporting.

Does anyone know if this is true?

No i don't think so the GT Lump is a lot bigger than the 1108 engine, it would be very very tight, but anything is possible with money.
Saying that i have seen a uno turbo engined Cinq http://web.genie.it/utenti/r/rallyeman/super/5sporting/5sporting.html looks like its got 186bhp at 6800rpm [:0], nice!

Don't think so as this was a one-off, loads and loads of work involved, such as moving the radiators to the back of the car, strengthening the chassis, custom make a wiring loom, but it would be nice would'nt it..

If only Fiat made a 1.2 Turbo Cinq or Sei we wudn't have this problem with engine transplant and Turbo conversions.

Van Aaken do a turbo conversion, 85bhp from the 1108.
Have driven one, quite good, I'd say.

Yup, boost (0.3 bar) comes in from around 2000 revs right to the red. No massive lag or anything, seems quite well done.

do you know how much the van aaken conversion is? you reckon it will be reliable?

will you lot stop tempting me! - not sure on the van aaken one is but novitech one costs about £1500
