hi, i was just wondering how easy the exterior door handles were to remove?

mine are all faded to greyish white, past the stage the trim and bumper restorer does anything, so i'm planning smothing and painiting them black so there body coloured, will look ace i think:D

First of all - your sig - I should have said that when I left my ex, lol.

As far as the handles being removed, obviously it can be done and I would assume it involves removing the interior door cards. I'm guessing that you have remote central locking?
If so a word of advice - having read a few similar threads recently - don't smooth over all of your key holes/doorhandles. At the very least leave the boot one so that you can still get into the car if the battery dies and the remote fails to open the doors ;)

There are ways and means to get into most fiats if you know how, without using keys or any fancy tools ;)

A good scrub with all purpose cleaner and a couple of treatments with Chemical Guys New Look Trim gel + some heat from a heatgun/hairdyer will sort them out pukka.

im keeping the locks, just the door handles im painting really, i think they would look good with shiny black to go with the car, there really badly faded as it is, and spoiling the look of the car, its the little details that make the difference:)

still i might try restoring them to original again first.

no remote locking, been there on fiats before! my first fiat had both door locks damaged in attempted break ins, then the remote locking packed in!, lucky i knew how to "bypass" the locking sytem!

haha and eklipze3k, i have said that to my gf in an argument! she knows where she stands these days! :p

Oh, I totally misread. I thought you were smoothing the doors!
