Hi I just bought a seicento sporting and it runs great but has had a new sump fitted by previous owner and it leaks past the lashings of instant gasket( as does the cam cover). So I have ordered new gaskets and other various parts to put the wee car right. What I would like to know is the torque settings for both the sump and cam cover retaining bolts.

iirc its 10nm but i'll check for you. i just tighten to about .......that much.....

edit:

cam cover is 8nm (6lb ft)
sump is 10nm (7lb ft)

thats hand tight + a nip. as most torque wrenches dont go that low

Cant wait to sort the wee beast out, only things wrong with it are the oil leaks and the terrible hand-brake. Had the rear brakes stripped and freed off the pivoted levr arms but I think the cable is stretched. Incidentally It has new pads, discs, shoes, handle/ratchet assembly and brake pipes , so i think the previous owner tried to improve the brakes but gave up and sold the car to me.
