Hi there

Here's the latest update one the turboproject

Went on the rollers last friday to fine tune the map after installing new cam and electronic boost controller


The setup are as follows:

P75 engine - ported head and inlet
P85 pistons for lower CR
SPI for off boost driving and MPI for aditional fuel on boost
Van Aaken high boost kit 0.8 bar (11.6 PSI)
SMT6 piggyback from Perfect Power (instead of MF2)
Custom made C&B 280 degree camshaft designed for boost

The result is:

132.7 bhp and 200.0 Nm
Loss in transmission is 9% meaning @ 120 ATW :devil:

Car drives very smooth and the IHI t15 deliver full boost at 3200 rpm

what does 200nm equate to in ft lb? Its amazing what difference a cam can make to say your only running 0.8bar boost figures are very impressive. will you be posting up a power graph for us all? Thanks im really tempted to go to a smaller turbo like a ihi vl3 off a mk1 Uno T

200nm is equal to 147.49lb/ft if my calculation is correct :) Figure seems about right, and boy does it sound awesome.

Easily said tricker, that car you have seems like a beast, would love to see it in action here in the UK sometime :). I want one of your throttle bodies at some point btw, you still doing them?

Sounds like fun (well in the dry at least) and I always like seeing your car Tricker, to have bodywork in such good condition is something i can only aspire too

doesn't a 280 cam delivers it's power with revs? (well it does in a NA setup anyway) what revs are you getting max power and torque? have you got a graph printout you could post?

Do you think there is more power to come?

The engine deliver max torque @ 4000 rpm and max bhp @ 5500 rpm.
I have no plans for higher power at the moment - next plan is to weight down the car..

Only have this graph showing all the spin up's. (sorry it's a geek thing :eek:)

Got some nice curves lol would you happen to know how much over lap your new cam has? Also how is it at top end? Will it get to the limiter in top gear?

Yes, I have all the figures of the cam - it's written on the box it came in.

Inlet: 28°/72°
Exhaust: 51°/7°

The car has no problem at all getting to the limiter in top gear - infact it get there very fast with no hesitation. Hit's limiter @ 217 km/t measured on GSP
 
Hope mine makes 120bhp lol
it is a very clean and nice looking car you have there mate as well as being rapid
what size tires are you using?
 
Im using marongoni which are pretty good in the wet imo
which gear box are you using to get such a good top speed mate thank you
