Hi there everyone,

Ive recently bought my very first car, a Fiat Seicento Active, and am interested in installing 6x9's in the boot. Im not interested in installing a sub or amp or anything, just plain old 6x9's to give it a little more boost (im not into totalling doing upmy car, and cannot afford it). Ive purchased some £35 6x9's from argos, but have come across a major problem when trying to link up the back speakers (obviously the active has no back speakers already installed). At the back of my Clarion CD Player (which came with the car) there is only a 2-pin output connector, which means I can only have front speakers. I've been to the local fiat and audio dealers, but they canot help me. Anyway, my friend said that i need a 4-way output connector on the cd player, so ive bought a new Goodmans mp3 player with an ISO connector. Now, can anyone help me on how to actually install the 6x9's from here onwards. Also, itis possible to have back speakers in a Seicento WITHOUT having an amp or a sub isnt it?

Thanks

Thats one hell of a jump from a pair of £35 speakers to an MP3 player.

I suppose you now don't want to hear the cheap and easy way to get four speaker sound from your previous unit, so I'll keep quiet on that one.

To wire the new one in, use the existing speaker wiring for the fronts and add the four wires for the rear.

Cheers

D

I'm sure the instruction manual with your new HU will tell you the rear speaker outputs from the HU are purple and green and where the Fiat wiring joins in there will only be grey and white.

Join new speaker wire to the purple and green wiring and run to the back!
