I want to change my standard steering wheel to a 'sporty' type one. Now i have my harnesses fitted i feel i dont need the air bag (what are your thoughts on this??)
Also has anyone removed their airbag and standard steering wheel? and if so what (if any) probs occured?

u mite need to check with your insurance company to see if u allowed too do it cause your premium mite do up or in-validate your insurance

u could also have a constant air bag warning light on

Your right, the insurance thing i will need to ring up about.
As for the warning light,was thinking i would have to fit some sort of resistor or take the bulb out!!?!

Or just take the fuse out...

No not yet, ive seen lots with the bling thang going on! But i always wanted to keep my airbag. So's now ive decided to get rid, i need to go back and look at them again sensibly! lol!

I've been told if you put a 5 amp fuse across the 2 wire that go too that air bag it tricks the system into thinking the bag is there. Therefore when you turn your ignition on the airbag light turns on and goes out like it should

have a look at the momo range...

i quite possibly could b mistaken but i think they may make an airbag wheel...

if not then the evo def looks as if it is an airbag wheel.

call them up, if not have a look at isotta gear, looks the dogs! especially in red

nah, D.T's has discontinued the boss kit for the Sei, so's the hunt is on!!
i get sick of companys saying "discontinued" "not available" "not for a Sei" etc..

(Phoned the ppl at Haynes the other day to see if they are making a manual for the Sei and their reply was "the Seicento model is not popular enough to have one made" !!!!!)

would the boss for the cinq an the sei b the same?

was 30 odd quid, but it was to fit an isotta steering wheel so i dunno how universal they are, could always try tho!
