Hey all,

Well this forum has come to the rescue again. My mothers fiat Seicento had a fault with the break lights as they wouldnt come on. So I searched on here and found it could be either - bulb's, fuse or switch. Bulbs were fine, fuse was fine, so we tested the switch - yep turns out the switch is faulty. So we had a look round and found that it could be around £5.00 for the switch. We went up to Fiats themselves and were charged £11.27 inc VAT (n) but they said they wouldn't know when it would be in as it could take a while as it comes from Italy.

Is this the right info and right price ?? Just we did try a cousins garage and were told they should beable to order the switch, but then they found out they couldn't as we had to directly to Fiat :(.

 Still works for me, its listed under Fiat Cinquecento Brake light switch.... :p

Hey guys,

We got the switch today as Fiat telephoned us up on Saturday to say that the switch that was coming form "Italy" had arrived. So we picked it up today and had a look at fitting it.

Well that was a hard job as everyone I heard from said "Its just a simple twist and the switch comes off, then you can replace it with the new one."

We were told to twist it anti-clockwise, but what no one explained to us was which way your looking at it is anti-clockwise, because of this we had twisted it the wrong way and the plastic holder that clips onto the metal that holds the switch in place just won't come off now. But we got a cousin to pop the switch out of the holder and replace it with the new switch.

I've attaced the photo of the switch before we started so that if anyone else has any trouble with this switch it shows which way to twist the darn thing lol.

Happy motoring all.
